Tone LLC (“Tone”) is commercial printing company that facilitates the design, preparation, production, and distribution—including warehousing and fulfillment—of exceptional print collateral. In order to receive access to many of Tone’s products and services, you must register for an account on the Tone website located at

It’s important to Tone to help our customers retain their privacy when they take advantage of all the resources has to offer. So we’ve developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices, as we believe your business is no one else’s.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person. You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with Tone. Tone and its affiliates may share this personal information with each other and use it consistent with this Privacy Policy. They may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, and marketing. You are not required to provide the personal information that we have requested, but, if you chose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to any questions you may have.

What personal information we collect

When you create an account or purchase a product or service, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, company name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, and credit card information.

How we use your personal information

Here are some examples of the types of personal information Tone may collect and how we may use it to: (1) collect the personal information we collect allows us to keep you posted on Tone’s latest product announcements, equipment updates, and upcoming events. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime by updating your preferences, (2) help us create, develop, operate, deliver, and improve our products, services, and distribution, (3) send important notices, such as communications about purchases and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies, and (4) facilitate internal reviews, data analysis, and research to improve Tone’s products, services, and customer communications.

Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. The following are some examples of non-personal information that we collect and how we may use it to: (1) collect information such as occupation, language, zip code, area code, unique device identifier, referrer URL, and location, so that we can better understand customer behavior and improve our website; (2) collect information regarding customer activities on our website. This information is compiled and used to help us provide more useful information to our customers; (3) collect and store details of how you use our services, including search queries. This information may be used to improve the relevancy of results provided by our services; and (4) collect (with your explicit consent) data about how you use your device and applications in order to help app developers improve their apps.

If we do combine non-personal information with personal information the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.

Cookies and Other Technologies

Tone’s websites, online services, email messages, and advertisements may use “cookies” and other technologies. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our websites people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

As is true of most internet services, we gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit websites and applications, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the site, to learn about user behavior on the site, to improve our product and services, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Tone may use this information in our marketing and advertising services.

In some of our email messages, we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Tone website. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.

Service Providers

Tone shares personal information with companies who provide services such as information processing, fulfilling customer orders, delivering products to you, and providing customer service. These companies are obligated to protect your information and may be located wherever Tone operates.


It may be necessary − by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence − for Tone to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.

Protection of Personal Information

Although no online data transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, Tone takes the safety of your Personal Data very seriously and strives to protect it.  At a minimum, Tone follows reasonable and appropriate industry standards to protect the Personal Data it receives.  In as many circumstances as possible, Tone, and the service providers it has chosen, attempt to follow industry best practices by using administrative and physical access controls, including firewalls and encryption, to protect the information that you submit from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Tone utilizes secure socket layer (SSL) technology on many of its webpages where Personal Data is input or retrieved.  This means that when you create an account, login to your account, retrieve a forgotten password, access your member dashboard, or purchase something, your Personal Data has an extra layer of protection.

Tone utilizes a hosting service to store Tone’s and its users’ information.  This hosting service meets the stringent security requirements for SSAE 16 compliance, which represents the industry standard for server hosting and data center companies.  At the hosting service’s facility, video surveillance and controlled access points protect against physical access by unauthorized persons, while firewalls, disabled public networking, and weekly security assessments protect against virtual access by unauthorized persons.  In that facility, Tone’s and its users’ information is stored on dedicated servers, with replication in real-time on a secondary server, and a nightly back-up to a separate server.

Tone’s access to these servers is limited to high-level personnel or those who need access for a specific purpose and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations, with very limited exceptions.

Tone utilizes a payment gateway provider to process all your credit card purchases on Tone.  This means that Tone will never store your debit / credit card information and the payment gateway provider will only do so when you want Tone services provided to you on a reoccurring billing cycle.  Tone’s payment gateway provider complies with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard and has been a Level 1 service provider since 2002.  This status reflect its stringent security measures, which include physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, sophisticated security monitoring tools, documented security policies, encryption of transmitted personal information, restricted access to personally identifiable information, and periodic security audits by third party security experts.

Provided Tone does not fail to implement reasonable and appropriate industry standards to protect your Personal Data, you agree that Tone will not, under any circumstance be held responsible or liable for a security breach (a) where data is accessed by third parties through illegal or illicit means, or (b) where data is accessed through the exploitation of security gaps, weaknesses, or flaws unknown to Tone at the time.

Access to Personal Information

You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to your account at For other personal information we hold, we will provide you with access for any purpose including to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if Tone is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes.


Parents or guardians: we want to help you guard your children’s privacy. We encourage you to talk to your children about safe and responsible use of their Personal Information while using the Internet.

Tone’s products, services, and websites are primarily for business-to-business purposes and transactions and we do not intend to or knowingly collect information on, or target our services or websites to children under the age of 13. We encourage parents and guardians to be active in monitoring their children’s online activities.

Use of Feedback

Tone may collect and use any feedback that you publicly submit on or privately send to Tone, via email or otherwise.  Feedback shall include, without limitation, any comment that is a testimonial about Tone as well as any question, suggestion, idea, enhancement request, or recommendation.  Tone treats such feedback as gratuitous, non-confidential, and non-proprietary and nothing shall restrict Tone’s right to use, profit from, disclose, publish, or otherwise exploit any feedback.  By providing feedback, you give Tone the right to publish and use it and your username, name, company name, and/or city / state on or as part of its marketing and advertising campaigns. Please read the Terms of Use for additional information.
